David Gampe visited our colleagues at NYU

David Gampe spent a week with our colleagues at the Department of Environmental Studies at New York University to bring forward a research project on wildfires and exchange ideas to explore further joint research opportunities between LMU and NYU!

Together with ecology and atmospheric science expert Prof Yi Yin, David explores the impact of wildfires on the global carbon cycle. Using LPJmL modeling, they want to analyze the interplay of fire emissions, burnt area, and fuel abundance.

We’re looking forward to working on this project together with our New York colleagues - hopefully the first of many collabs!
